Amjad Sabri dead in Karachi gun attack

KARACHI: Unknown gunmen opened fire on a car in Karachi on Wednesday, killing  famous Pakistani Qawwal Amjad Sabri and wounding another person.

The attack took place in Liaquatabad area of the city.

The identity of the those injured was yet to be ascertained, but some reports suggested that famous Qawal Amjad Sabri, son of Ghulam Farid Sabri, was the target.

Police have not confirmed the reports.

According to eyewitnesses, Amjad Sabri was critically wounded in the attack.

 Amjad Sabri’s assistant confirmed that the qawal was wounded in the shooting. He was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
